Giddapahar China Delight - Darjeeling Tea - Autumn 2023

Giddapahar Tea Estate stretches up to 4500-5200 Ft has certain sections with the old China bushes and newer sections with quality AV2 bushes. This limited edition tea, manufactured by the master at this family owned and operated estate. There has been light oxidization thereby retaining the plethora of aromas and tastes in the leaf. This has been achieved using the wealth of experience which the owners and tea artisans at Giddapahar have earned over the decades.

The appearance is whole leaf with greenish leaves of various guess accompanied by a sprinkling of white buds. The raw leaf has ripe fruity and vegetal aroma. The brew has medium body and dense yellow hue, with floral aroma reminiscent of toasted wood. The taste lasts on your palate, with hints of flowers and fresh vegetal growth in taste which is topped off, with a hint of astringency.

This is among the rare tea batches which have greenish leaves during the Autumn. It's a tea worth having to experience the more mellowed flavour of the autumn with sweet vegetal notes from the mountains.
